How migrants from Turkey and Europe have affected the London Borough of Enfield?
One of the borough that has been extremely affected by migrants from Turkey and EU is the London Borough of Enfield where the Turkish, Polish Turkish, Kurdish Kosovans and Albanians population has recently exponentially increased.
Most Turkish migrants in the borough are involved in petty businesses across the borough. Some white and black communities have moved from the areas they were living before due to human pressure caused by the new arrivals from Turkey and Europe.
Enfield is one of the most highly deprived Outer London boroughs. Nationally, Enfield is ranked 64th most deprived out of the 326 local authority areas in England.
Poverty has increased among Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities partly due to high unemployment and competition with new arrivals to scarce resources, housing, education and employment opportunities. The large majority of BAME communities live in the most deprived wards of Edmonton Green, Upper Edmonton, Lower Edmonton, Ponders End and Turkey Street. Such are the levels of deprivation in the three Edmonton wards that all three are within the most deprived 10% of wards in England. Edmonton is an area in the London Borough of Enfield with some of the most deprived wards in London. Twelve of Enfield's twenty-one wards are in the most deprived 25% of wards in England.
Enfield Council is struggling to cope with the increased demand for services (housing, health, and education) from these new arrivals from Turkey and Europe. The Council has recently cut all funding to the local voluntary sector.

The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.
I have loved justice and hated iniquity: therefore I die in exile.
The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.
When the white man came we had the land and they had the bibles; now they have the land and we have the bibles.
